We kicked off the morning by digging and moving a whole lot of dirt. Not exactly glamorous, but honestly kind of satisfying. Everyone jumped in, and it was cool seeing how quickly the area started to take shape once we got going. Bucket chains, mini dirt mountains—it was a solid workout, but we made it fun.

After that, we had lunch with the adult volunteers and temple masters. It was really chill—we all sat together, ate, and just talked. Having that mix of generations there always makes the experience feel a little more meaningful. Plus, food always hits different after a few hours of nonstop digging.

In the afternoon, we switched gears and worked on clearing out this old pathway that was completely covered in leaves and dirt. By the end, you could actually see the path again, which felt super rewarding. It was like we uncovered something that had been forgotten about—and now it’s usable again.

Overall, the January trip wasn’t flashy, but it was one of those days where everything just worked. We got a ton done, spent time with good people, and made a real impact on the space.

Can’t wait to see what we tackle next time. Let’s keep it going.
